Sam Penhaul has always been a keen sailor starting on dinghies at a very young age. Throughout school he balanced studies with is passion for sailing. Travelling over the world competing at international level. The other main passion he balanced this with was his art studies. Going from GCSE all the way up to A level Sam spent all his free time either sailing or painting.

After school he began to take an interest in photography and the role it plays in modern art. He then moved down south to follow his sailing. Leading him to become involved with the Etchell fleet. Alongside all of this he has been getting out on the water with a camera as much as he can.
